Finance Business Partner

Sabio Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. As the Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, providing strategic insights, and supporting decision-making processes to optimize business outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic and rapidly growing organization in the customer experience industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development and execution of financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to drive business performance and achieve financial targets. 
  • Partnering: Partner closely with the UK MD and other country MD’s and functional leaders to formulate business plans to deliver on overall company objectives. Manage and report on plans through to execution.
  • Strategic Insights: Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management and business leaders to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.        
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, KPIs, and operational performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and recommend actionable insights to improve financial performance. 
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, to communicate financial performance and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing, to align financial objectives with business strategies, drive operational efficiency, and support revenue growth initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial planning and analysis processes, optimize resource allocation, and streamline financial reporting and forecasting activities. 
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate governance standards, and proactively identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g. SAICA, CIMA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • A can-do attitude that isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty to get things done.
  • The desire to continuously learn new skills and drive efficiency within the commercial finance team through continuous improvement, process optimisation and automation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Proven track record of success in financial management, strategic planning, and business analysis, preferably in the technology, consulting, or customer experience industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, develop insightful analyses, and make data-driven recommendations to drive business performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Workday Adaptive Planning, SQL, Python). 
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions and driving continuous improvement.
